The geocache we chose to find was N 12 degrees 6.490 W 68 degrees 15.580. We looked up the coordinates on the geocache site, and saw that it was located near the road that led to Jibe City. We decided to bike to the site, following the gps. Once we arrived within 100m of the location, we stopped and began walking, following the directions listed on the geocache site. We had to line up a yellow windmill with the northern radio tower, and look for two large cacti. It was also helpful to know that it was located on the north side of the road, even though we made the mistake of searching the south side first. We trekked through 100m of thorny plants, cacti and rocks until the gps eventually came within a few meters of the end point. The geocache was actually about 4m away from the points we put into the gps. It was a metal box that we found under rocks, underneath a bush. Inside the box was laminated money from all over the world, toys, postcards, a log book that we signed and various other items. When we began to ride home, Sarah realized her front tire was flat. Thankfully, though, Doug was with us and saved the day by biking back to get the van. It was an interesting adventure.
