movie but rather some footage from a night dive to Buddy's Reef (site
#26). Lots of feeding activity and predators moving and lurking
about. How many do you see and recognize? What does the structure of
the reef means for predators and prey alike.
The reef really is a whole other place at night. At night, one has a
more pronounced sense of how exotic the reef is especially when we
temporarily extinguished our dive lights and waved our hands about in
the water exciting bioluminescent plankton. The brief sparks of
light echoed those that we have seen overhead in fireworks over the
last few days. Me personally I prefer the underwater show to the
above ground fireworks, no noise or smoke to contend with.
