closed and no way to get to our gear we took advantage of the time to
explore around the southern portion of the island. Highlights
include the kite boarding site at Pink Beach, the slave huts and
Oranje Pan, a signpost near the lighthouse, and of course those
curious charismatic megafauna phoenicopterus ruber (aka pink flamingos).
