Meeting the next door neighbor

Although I didn't catch her name, she grew up in Venezuela, and moved here about 4 years ago to be with her husband. She hasn't been back because of the war—there basically is no government, and people can get shot in the street, it is very dangerous. She runs a local nursery, and the plants she grows are native to Venezuela, not Bonaire, so it takes much upkeep (Bonaire plants can survive very dry climates, as that is how it usually is here). She said the mosquitoes don't really bother her plants but they are a pain when she goes out to take care of the plants (she called the squiters stupid since they are almost always killed if they land on you! haha!) Because she runs the nursery, she doesn't have much time for anything else, and unlike other people, her favorite thing to do is NOT diving, but reading and swimming if she has time. She is in the process of moving (about 100 yards down the road) and is late on doing that! She was supposed to be out November 30th, yet it looked as if she had a lot more to move. She told me that iguana was not very good, but since I was new to the island, it would be something to try. Although she was not a fan of iguana, she told me she liked goat and I should try that (Nicole later told me she would never try iguana or goat). Her favorite restaurant she told me to try was Vesbucci, and recommended Cactus Blue for the goat.
