Bonaire, parting is such sweet sorrow

As our time left in Bonaire turns from days left to just hours left I look back at the lessons that I've learned during my time here. So here goes:

1. ALWAYS put your own tags on your luggage, especially the one with the expensive stuff in it.
2. Good things happen to those who have patience with the lost luggage people.
3. Just because you go on an excursion with a guide doesn't mean that they will stay with the group. Speaking of which, anyone know where Jerry went?
4. Small Med-Kits are EXTREMELY handy to have.
5. Knowing how to use that med-kit is even handier.
6. The song "Sweet Child O Mine" is awesome to listen to while riding in the bed of a pick-up truck.
7. Iguana's love having photos taken of them.
8. When I'm taking the picture, Laura hates being in photos.
9. Underwater photography is a lot more fun when you know how to use your camera.
10. Diving at night is a blast
11. Diving with your friends who just got certified is awesome.
12. Night diving with your friends who just got certified is amazing.
13. Limestone is extremely sharp
14. On Bonaire, the rum is never gone
15. The Gavia will come back only when it wants to.
16. A Spotted Eagle Ray is one of the most graceful and beautiful things in the water
17. A sea turtle is a close second
18. If you have a mystery liquid, use limestone to find out if it's an acid. Jerry, you taught me well.
19. YoUDee likes to go for a swim too.
20. A land slug is extremely ugly, a lettuce sea slug is gorgeous.
21. When it comes to a mixed grill, your eyes are never bigger then your stomach.
22. Ashley Beers is incapable of keeping her mouth closed during a picture.
23. It's a lot harder to walk UP the 1000 steps then DOWN.
24. SCUBA without bubbles > SCUBA with Bubbles
25. Always where protection when going down on the Hooker
26. The Green Flash is in fact real
27. Tarpon are our friends
28. Cheryn doesn't like a lot of things, all of which are awesome.
29. In order to be able to push me in a pool you will need 14 college students yanking, tickling, pulling, and pushing. All at once
30. In the beginning God had water as one Hydrogen attached to one Oxygen. Then Captain Don said "Let there be two" and it was good.
31. If you're out on a boat all day, put on sunscreen
32. Slagbaii National Park is in a word, tremendous
33. Always double check the waterproof housing for your camera is in fact, waterproof
34. Donkey's are just the most adorable things
35. Don't do the Soulja Boy when the camera is rolling, because it will come back to haunt you
36. Driving stick is a lot harder then it looks
37. You only get a flat tire when you don't have a spare
38. Corals in Bonaire, although pristine compared to the rest of the Caribbean, are not perfectly healthy.
39. That damage is because of the damage we are doing to the oceans, and now is the time to do something about it
40. This is the only way to spend your winter session

To Art, Doug, Hilary, the science team, the Roomer's, my fellow study abroad students, and everyone else I met and interacted on this trip. This list is incomplete because I've learned so much from all of you. Thank you for everything. To Mom and Dad who I know are reading this, thank you for once again giving me other of these opportunities. See you at home soon.
