Now that departure is only days away, I can almost feel the tropical breezes and sun beating down on my face. However, I think this trip will be important for me in my undergraduate career. I will be doing things that I have never done before, working with GIS, field exercises in a reef environment, working with a science team full of expertise in the area we plan to study. Even though we will be "miles away from ordinary", I will still believe in working just as hard as I play, which means there will be some serious work to do! I expect to learn a multitude of things from the science team, learn alot from my professors and fellow students, but the one thing I already know is most important to me, that this will be a special trip.
