Bonaire is similar to a small town. Everyone knows one another, it's like a big family, and yet there's some streets or places to avoid, similar to the states. For me, visiting Jibe City was the best experience. I was able to learn a new sport, a water sport!! I was also able to make friends with one of the top windsurfers in the world, Tonky, who is actually quite nice and easy to talk to. At Jibe, I was able to meet friends, both locals and visitors (come once a year), who we occasionally saw out on the town or went to watch a football game with. I'm going back to Delaware with a battle wound, my first overseas experience and new friends. Who can ask for more?
